Counting Down

At the moment everything seems like it is on a bit of a countdown, getting a bit more frenetic as we reach certain milestones!

We have 2 free weekends before our friends arrive from Australia with their three little girls. That's 2 weekends to clear and pack and fix and tidy as much as possible, while not making the house look too bare and making sure they have somewhere to sit and sleep!!

After they leave we have 5 days to pack up, clean and move out!

We're moving in with a friend for the next 2 months and will be going from a 4 bed house to a small double room...eeek!! That's definite practice for living out of a (very small) rucksack!

We have 3½ months until we finish working and move again. This time it’s into the tent and car for the Christmas holidays and then off on a plane in only 4½ months’ time!

Both Chris and I have got a long list of jobs to do …and a realisation of how quickly time is passing!

Things on the jobs list this week:

1. Finish drafting the tenancy agreement

2. Room by room tenancy checklist ready for the handover

3. Show our new tenants around so they can measure up… that means the house has to be a little bit tidy

4. Passport photo – I had a bit of a smile in the last one! Bad girl

5. UK driver’s license

6. Hit the garden – it hasn’t been touched for weeks and the weeds are beginning to grow again

7. UK tax return, downloading software

Will we get any more time up at the ski field?? I hope so, but who knows!
